COURSE INFORMATION
The IELTS system is highly regarded and widely recognised as the world’s most popular English language proficiency test for higher education and global migration. Whether you are looking to study, develop your career, or settle in an English-speaking country, IELTS can pave the way.

What sets IELTS apart?
The IELTS system has been setting the standard for English-language testing for more than 30 years. It is trusted by more than 12,000 organisations in over 140 countries around the world.

This means that when you take an IELTS test, you can be confident that the result will be recognised by the educational institution, employer, professional body, or government that needs to verify your English language proficiency.

IELTS enables you to:
start your journey into work or study in another country
prove your English language skills
decide on a module to match your goal – Academic or General Training.
Reasons to choose IELTS:
Results are available in 5 - 7 days (computer-delivered) and 13 days (paper-based).
The test is offered in over 1,600 locations, in more than 140 countries.
Over 10,000 organisations worldwide accept IELTS as proof of language ability.
IELTS is designed to test the language ability of people who want to study or work where English is used as the language of communication. Over 3.5 million tests are taken each year.

In IELTS, there are four papers:

Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
There are two different IELTS modules: Academic and General Training.
The Speaking and Listening tests are the same in both modules, but the Reading and Writing tests are different.

Academic module
Choose this if you wish to study at undergraduate or postgraduate levels, or if you are seeking professional registration, e.g. doctors and nurses.

General Training module
Choose this if you wish to migrate to an English-speaking country, (e.g. Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK) or if you wish to train or study at below degree level.
IELTS for study - IELTS Academic
- for people applying for higher education or professional registration
Most people will take the IELTS Academic test to support their study and application to study overseas
Are you planning on studying in an English speaking country? An IELTS certificate is recognised as evidence of proficiency in English by more than 11,000 education and training providers worldwide. Some universities in non-English speaking countries require an IELTS score, where courses are taught in English.
IELTS is available in the following formats:
IELTS for migration - IELTS General Training
Do you want to migrate to an English speaking country? IELTS is accepted as evidence of English language proficiency for study, work and migration in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK, as well as for study and work in the USA.
For those migrating to Australia, Canada and the UK, or applying for secondary education, training programmes and work experience in an English-speaking environment.
Both versions provide a valid and accurate assessment of the four language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking.
